Why keep a buffer when pouring?
Molds have texture, undercuts, and tiny air pockets. A 5% buffer covers that and mixing waste so you don’t run short mid-pour.
What if my brand uses a different ratio?
Always follow your bag or bottle. Ratios here are manufacturer baselines — brands and batches differ. Use the ratio shown in the result to compare with your packaging.
Can I mix materials?
We calculate one material at a time. Blending brands or powder types changes density and set time — test a small batch before a full pour.
